Ivy Singles Plus
(formerly Ivy Over 50 Singles)
Invites you to
an evening of art, chamber music and conversation at
The Kreeger Museum,
2401 Foxhall Road, Washington, D.C. (slightly northwest of Georgetown)
Saturday evening, November 10, 2007
Doors open at 7:00pm. You are encouraged to arrive early—leaving your car at the front entrance with the free valet parking service—and taking the time to wander the museum’s magnificent collection of impressionist art. The concert, beginning at 8:00pm in the main hall, features The Ying Quartet, resident artists since 2001 at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester.
Afterwards a light reception will be held to meet the musicians in an area overlooking a sculpture garden filled with Rodin’s work. Those ISP members who are ready for more conviviality can then reclaim their cars from the valet service and drive five blocks to a nearby restaurant to sip coffee and liquors far into the night.
ISP has pre-purchased a block of tickets and arranged for a group of seats to be set aside. To make reservations:
· Please, first e-mail (preferred) Betsy Hendrix at BetsyLHendrix@yahoo.com or call 703-356-6678.
· Then immediately send a check for $36.00 made out to ISP to Ivy Singles Plus, 6228 Kellogg Drive, McLean, VA 22101.
· Your name will be added to the list and directions sent; but no tickets will be mailed back.
Don Roellke, ISP Board Member from Fairfax, VA is the host for this event. He will meet you at the Kreeger’s front door where your name will be checked off a list. He and other ISP Board members will guide you to other ISP attendees and to the various museum areas. Attire for the evening: somewhat dressed up.
