Ivy Singles Plus Invites Members and Their Guests*

at one of Silver Spring’s liveliest night spots

Party Hosts: Sheila Macdonald and Don Roellke will greet members and make introductions in a cozy environment conducive to conversations and good cheer.

Great Set Up: We have arranged for a large separate room with our own cash bar, a light buffet of excellent Mexican and South-of-the-Border specialties served up in an atmosphere of Latin music.

By subway: It is a three-block walk from the Silver Spring (Red Line) Metro Station. Exit from the station’s north entrance onto the west side of Colesville Road, walk north along Colesville for two blocks; at the first corner, cross Second Avenue, which is on the left side of the street (Wayne Avenue is to the right); proceed past McDonalds and at the second corner turn left onto Ramsey Avenue; walk up a short block to Mi Rancho kitty-corner on the right.

By car: There is plenty of public parking (free on Sunday) a half block away.

From the Capital Beltway (Rte 495), exit at Georgia Avenue (Rte 29) towards Silver Spring; stay on Georgia for about a mile and a half; two blocks after Spring Street (at a stop light) turn right on Cameron Street (at a stop light). Enter multi-tiered parking lot on right. Across the street from the lot’s main entrance you will find Ramsey Avenue; Mi Rancho is half a block past the American Diner on the left.

From The District, take 16^th Street north to the District Line at a traffic circle; enter the circle and take the second right exit out of the circle onto Colesville Road (Rte 97); head up the hill crossing East-West Highway (first traffic light); go one more block to the next light and turn left onto Second Avenue (NOTE: Wayne Ave. is to the right); go up the hill to another traffic light and take a right on Cameron Street; enter large parking lot on left. *Guest does not mean a date; rather, a guest would be a person who is single, of a certain age, a graduate of an Ivy League school and who might be interested in joining ISP, particularly interested males.

Ivy Singles Plus, sponsored by the Yale Club of Washington, is an organization of mature single men and women who are graduates of Ivy League and other premier colleges and universities. The club organizes events in the Washington, DC area so that members can meet together throughout the year. Activities include receptions, summer parties, lectures, bridge clubs and special events, such as art exhibitions and concerts. The group invites to membership over 50 singles and their guests who have an interest in participating in a variety of intellectual and stimulating social, cultural, and athletic events.
